I've purchased both the regular 12" cardboard boxes and now these double-walled show boxes. The show boxes are indeed sturdier, although the lid is exactly the same on both (standard single thickness). The main drawback on the show boxes is that the handles are fully punched out, leaving an opening on either side, while on the regular boxes the handle flaps remain semi-intact and can be pushed back into place to form a pretty good barrier against dust and insects. Since my records will be in storage for some time, I may cut some posterboard to size to stick inside the sidewalls and close off the box better. (Duct tape over the handles would be easier, but I really don't want to gob up the boxes.) I also wish the show boxes were plain on the outside, without a design. But all in all good sturdy boxes.

These are nice, sturdy, clean-looking boxes that hold just enough records that the boxes don't become too heavy to lift. I thought 5 would be enough to hold all my records, but I severely underestimated the size of my record collection, and bought 5 more -- and I *still* have records left over! Whoops. These boxes would also be very useful for storing large books and other materials. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel the boxes are priced just a little high.

Please remove the (SHOWBOX blue cartoonish design) outside (no offenses but don't looks good), and it's not just me I know a lot collectors that prefer full white boxes without any logo design on; the bagsunlimited brand inside the lid is not problem. For now I continue buying the standard 200 lb but please let me know if your remove outside on this 250 lb to start buy it them.

Sturdy, attractive, easy-to-assemble boxes. Very reasonably priced. Bought ten of them to fit a vinyl collection and very happy with them. Also, customer service is fantastic -- personal, professional, and very helpful.
